The rumour mill in Belgium is now up and running: According to Belgian media, the Walloon broadcaster RTBF has already made its choice for the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 in Vienna.
Loïc Nottet is best known for his participation in The Voice Belgique 2014 where he made it to the final and became the runner-up. While this decision hasn’t been confirmed by RTBF itself, the newspaper Télépro claims it’s “almost a certainty” that we will see Loïc for Belgium next year.
The last time RTBF was responsible for choosing the Belgian representative – in 2013 – the broadcaster pursued a similar strategy. Unlike Loïc Nottet, however, Roberto Bellarosa actually won the first season of The Voice Belgique. This success translated to the Eurovision stage in Malmö where Roberto achieved a respectable 11th place in the final.
