Anne Gadegaard and Eurovision favorite is annoyed that it was not her to win it all.
Dansk Melodi Grand Prix, the Danish Selection Show for the Eurovision Song Contest, took place yesterday where the band Anti Social Media won the ticket to Vienna and Runner-Up Anne Gadegaard did not try to hide her disappointment: “I am disappointed that it was not me who won. Especially when you know that the audience wanted me to win. I heard the crowd shouting ‘no’ in the audience when [Anti Social Media] won. It is a confusing knowing hat I would have won if it wasn’t for the juries. Right now, I think the jury stinks to hell”.
Gadegaard continues saying that it would have been easier to deal with the defeat if she finished second in the televote and first with the juries. She also thinks that the guys from Anti Social Media are super cute and has no problem with them.
The reaction online has been mixed and a lot of our readers voiced their dissatisfaction with the winning song as you can see here:
There were also people defending the song and showing their support for Anti Social Media but the first impression was mostly negative. We always give our readers the ability to vote in a poll on how they would rank the song and the results clearly show that the majority of people have negative feelings towards that song.
We will find out in May whether or not the juries made the right decision when Anti Social Media is going to perform in the first Semi Final on May 19th. Can they qualify or will this be their first non qualification since 2007?
