Melodifestivalen tickets go on sale soon (1st November) and Aftonbladet sources have revealed three more potential acts for Melodifestivalen 2023. This follows the previous rumours of Wiktoria, Nordman and Loulou LaMotte possibly participating next year. This time around, Aftonbladet sources have revealed that two Tiktok starts Theoz and Emil Henrohn will possibly be competing as well as Norwegian duo Marcus & Matinus.
Marcus & Matinus (both 20) are a Norwegian duo that according to Aftonbladet sources, SVT have been wanting for many years. The rumours have been solidified as sources believe the duo have been courted by both Norwegian and Swedish producers. It seems likely they will do Melodifestivalen over MGP in Norway as Sweden has a much larger music market. Furthermore, they have previously competed and won Masked Singer Sverige and appeared at one of the Melfest after-parties in February. This is all coming from sources close to the duo saying they are now ready for Melodifestivalen 2023.
17 year-old Theoz competed this past year in Melodifestivalen coming 7th in the Final after progressing through the semi-final. Theoz is successful and popular on TikTok and Aftonbladet sources believe that he is looking to improve on his success.
Emil Henrohn is looking to make his break onto Melfest after becoming viral on TikTok earlier this year. His video, with his own song in it, has over four million views and he was named the most influential person on TikTok in Sweden. Sources have said that Emil has been looking to be part of Melfest for many years now.
Aftonbladet has a track record on predicting who will compete at the contest. Last year, of the 28 possible competitors Aftonbladet correctly predicted 22 of them and the year prior 27. So far, they have predicted six of the possible 28 contestants.
