Lucía Pérez, the Spanish ambassador in Düsseldorf 2011 has released “Quitapenas”. This album has been prouced by Chema Purón. Eurovision fans who were born last century, specially the Spanish ones will remember Purón’s Eurovision entries. The Spanish producer created “Vuelve conmigo” being the runner up in 1995 with Anabel Conde. Besides his experience in the late 90’s, the Spanish composer went back to the song contest in 2000 with “Colgado de un sueño”, the track that Serafín Zubiri performe ranking eighteenth.

Lucía Pérez’s new project made its first steps two years ago. Over thirty tracks were composed which finally twelve of them were chosen for the album. The selected tracks were recorded last year. “Quitapenas” was directed by Bori Alarcón and recorded in Estudios Montepríncipe, located in Madrid. This year’s spring came with Quitapenas as the chosen name for the album. The pictures that we find in Lucía Pérez’s new album were taken by Gonzalo P. Martas in “La Mordida”, a restaurant located in the Spanish capital.
