Hours after the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest ended the stage and seating began to be removed. Now it has came to light that due to EU rules the former shipyard now needs to be restored to its original state. The EU state that an independently owned venue cannot be renovated using public funding. Because some of the money used to build the new style of the venue was publicly funded the EU now dictate that everything must go!
The newly built roads for the contest will have to be removed, and all wiring and internet connection will have to be removed. Thus costing the Danish tax payer more money.
Danish politicians are attempting to find a way to avoid this extra demolition and spending by searching for a private investor to buy items which would not be against EU rules.
