Olivia Le Poidevin from ESC United spoke to Ukraine Eurovision entry 2014, Mariya Yaremchuk about what it means to represent her country amidst political turmoil back home.

While Eurovision tries to stay out of Politics, it is impossible to ignore the elephant in the room and recent developments but the young singer found a classy way to focus on the music and to look at the bright things in life. Mariya says: “I will do everything to make Ukrainians smile, they need to be happy. The music is that thing which can unite people. Sometimes you just need to forget about everything and to enjoy life.”
