🇫🇮 Finland: One Morning Left Releases “Puppy” for UMK 2025
One Morning Left, the fifth act revealed to be competing in this year’s UMK 2025, has released the song and music video for their entry, “Puppy.” Written by KIRO (Johannes Naukkarinen), Juuso Turkki, Leevi Luoto, Mika Lahti, Miska Sipiläinen, and Saku Ahola, this metal dance mashup brings edginess and fun around a simple subject, a puppy.
One Morning Left is a Finnish metalcore band that has had international success for over 16 years now, having hits in Finland, Japan, and Iceland, among others. Their music has pushed the boundaries on how you can envision modern metal, saying they “don’t take ourselves too seriously” and describe themselves as a “hyperactive feel-good act.”
The remaining six acts competing in UMK 2025 have already been revealed, with each song and music video being released individually through January 16th.
Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu 2025 (UMK 2025) will take place on February 8th at the Nokia Arena in Tampere. The show will be hosted by Mikko Silvennoinen, Eva Frantz, Jasmin Beloued, Katri Norrlin, and Sanni.
The winner of UMK 2025 will represent Finland at the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest, held in Basel, Switzerland, this May.
