Ahead of the 2024 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, RTSH decided to revamp again “Vallëzoj” for JESC 2024. The final version was released recently alongside the music video which you can find below.

The song “Vallëzoj” delivers a powerful message about the importance of protecting and appreciating nature, particularly plants and flowers. Through its lyrics, the song imagines a world without these vital elements, depicting it as a lifeless and colorless place. It questions how we would live without the beauty and joy that nature provides, reminding us of the essential role that plants play in our lives.

The refrain “Jo! Jo! Mos prek” (No! No! Don’t touch) and “Mos shkel” (Don’t step on) underscores the plea to treat nature with care and respect, highlighting that even plants have life and, in their own way, communicate with us. The act of dancing with a flower in hand symbolizes a deep connection with nature, expressing the desire to protect and nurture it.

Ultimately, “Vallëzoj” is not just a celebration of the natural world, but also a call to action, urging listeners to take responsibility in preserving the environment for future generations.
