In a Nutshell

Tonight’s interval featured a number of guest performances. Tonight’s interval featured a series of guest performances. It began with Bjorn Skifs singing “Hooked On a Feeling,” followed by the flag parade showcasing famous Swedish hits. Malin Åkerman and Petra Mede opened the show following the 26 entries, or 25 countries, as the Netherlands, as we learned today, was disqualified.

After Austria, the last country performing tonight, Petra and Malin mentioned a special appearance. They hinted that the first letter of the famous group set to perform later begins with an “A.” Before the audience could utter “ABBA,” it was Alcazar, a Swedish nu-disco group from Stockholm, who took the stage. Alcazar, known for their string of hits since their debut single in 1999, delighted the audience.

Then, finally, the moment arrived: ABBA, albeit as holograms, graced the stage. It was a touching and sweet moment as, after 50 years of success, fans got to see them again. Charlotte, Carola, and Conchita also made an appearance, singing “Waterloo.” As they sang “the history book on the shelf, is always repeating itself,” Switzerland and Croatia appeared on the screen as the final two contenders. Ultimately, it was revealed that Nemo was crowned the winner after all with a staggering 591 points.
