🇸🇲 Blasting us awake this morning is the rock sounds of San Marino’s Megara!

San Marino’s Megara start off with their second rehearsal. Very much on brand with the video and the band’s particular aesthetic of horror anime rock. The signature colours of fuchsia pink and black are very much present, as well as the textures of PVC, chunky fur boots and heavy make-up.

In the clip below we are treated to the song’s intro, we see lead singer Kenzy Loevett lying on the floor  encompassed by these swirly black and white graphic beneath her. As the song kicks in, Kenzy stands-up and we now see two dancers on either side of  her dressed in a the most macabre, half fuchsia pink and half black dog-outfits. That’s right… dog outfits! Kenzy herself also reveals theses vinyl dinosaur spikes attached to her back. Needless to say she is sounding on top form! This is is only the tiniest of tasters for the rock onslaught that Megara will give us!

🇬🇪 Putting out the fires set alight by Georgia’s Nutsa!

Nutsa is bringing the fire, bringing the sweat with a super hot performance with her ethno-bop choreo. In the rather spectacular looking images that have been released see Nutsa being accompanied by impressive visuals of volcanic fire. Dressed in befitting tight bronze lame outfit with thigh boots accompanied by four male dancers.  ethno-bop Firefighter.

In the clip teaser below. Georgia is giving us pyro for days. We are treated to the song’s dance break, where Nutsa is effortlessly delivering with an incredibly impressive jerky choreo. This is one helluva show!

🇧🇪 The party is certainly not over as Belgium takes to the stage!

Musti is ready to announce to the word that he’s breaking all the rules. What looks like an epic performance, Musti dressed in all manner of white is giving it his all in his emotive power-ballad When The Party Is Over.  Below is a clip of his rehearsal today where Mustii’s exceptional vocals are there for all to see and hear. Mustii is giving us true rockman-ship. We love!

🇪🇪 It’s now time for the Estonian daddies to slay!

Its the turn of 5MIINUST x Puuluup to take to the stage and showcase their song (Nendest) Narkootikumidest Ei Tea Me (Küll) Midagi. A performance and musical style that blends intricate dad choreography and intelligent quirky Estonian ethno-rap. The images show the group decked out in suits, but shirtless thus which exposing lots and lots of skin. We would except no less from the wackiness and entertainment that is currently on stage.

In the clip below we see a jokey stand off between the two vocalists, which then descends into a tightly synchronized dance routine accompanied by the rest of the band members. This performance looks highly comedic and so much fun, 5MIINUST x Puuluup are hear to teach us not to take things too seriously!

🇳🇴 Here come the ethereal witchy vibes from Norway!

Ulveham is a folk tale about a maiden with an evil stepmother who is banished to the woods, transformed into a wolf and ordered to kill her brother. Gåte’s performance echoes that of their Melodi Grand Prix performance. The dark witchy vibes of the song which are augmented by lead singer’s Gunhild haunting high pitch vocals who is performing on a low, slow-spinning platform with props of rocks and trees. The mood is dark, pagan, folk-goth and bountiful white strobing lights. This performance is breath taking!

🇳🇱 And finally its good old crazy times from Joost Klein!

From the planet of Europapa, one would not not expect anything but weird and wonderful from Joost Klein. Wearing an accentuated version of a blue suit with point shoulders and white gloves, there is something very looney tunes about his whole outfit accompanied perfectly by zany graphics. The clip below, which the Dutch broadcaster AVROTOS just released, sees Joost and his fellow performers frantically prancing around the stage completely immersed in red light, but as the song shifts gears into more slow, ballad territory it all goes dramatically dark, with just the spot-light on Joost. A truly whirlwind performance of comedy, satire, oodles of fun but also a touch of melancholia. What a great show closer!

And that’s a wrap for the second rehearsals of all the semi finalists. Tomorrow is the second rehearsals of the Big 5 and Sweden.

In the meantime you can join us tonight at 7:15 (CET) on the ESCUnited Livestream where will discussing all of today’s performances.
