Moldova’s broadcaster (TRM) has just recently announced, that a total of 51 submissions of been received. Now, the search continues for who will become Moldova’s next representative, and who will have the chance to keep the qualification streak going for the small nation.

Earlier in the year, we could announce on behalf of Moldova, that the submission period had officially been opened. Now, that period has officially ended. The submission period only lasted until the 22nd of December, and the national broadcaster has confirmed that a total of 51 submissions have been received.
What happens next is, that now a committee will examine all the submissions in this coming week, until the 29th of December, and afterwards will then release all the examined entries to the public for listening.
Entries that are released will be allowed to progress to the Live Auditions, which are set to take place on the 13th of January 2024. This is where a jury will select a given amount of finalists, who will then perform on live television in the national final, which is set to be held on the 17th of February 2024.
Usually, acts will slowly release their songs as well, but at the given time, no rumored names have yet appeared.
In 2023, Moldova was represented by Pasha Parfeni for the second time, this time with his song being in Romanian, unlike his 2012 entry. “Soarele şi Luna” managed to qualify to the final, where it finished on a 18th place.
