One-third of Austria’s entry into the 2000 edition of the Eurovision Song Contest, Rounder Girls, has died. Lynne Kieran, who, alongside band members, achieved Austria a 14th place, has passed away. Thoughts are with her family, friends and of course her band mates.

Lynne Kieran, who lived a healthy life of 53 years, born in 1960 in London, has died of causes yet unknown. In the coming days, the cause of her death is to be stated.

Alongside Austrian Tini Kainrath and American Kim Cooper, she formed the band Rounder Girls who, in 2000, earned the right to go to Stockholm for the Austrian broadcaster with their song “All To You”. They eventually ended placing 14th, something Austria would not complain about considering their recent placings.

Thoughts, wishes and sorrows of ours go to Lynne’s friends and family. Rest in peace, Lynne Kieth.

Well back in 2000 it was awful to see a 14th place. The song was so much better than this result. The usual ignorance of “however you call that” …

Anyway, it’s a sad sad thing to die at such young age. R.I.P. Lynne

    RIP Lynne 🙁

I was devastated when the Rounder Girls didn’t win the Song Contest, but the dull schlager song from Denmark. Now I am even more devastated. So, so sad 🙁
