So, the first semi-final is just a few hours away. Since we asked #YOU yesterday who is qualifying, we have had hundreds of responses in less than a day. Here’s what #YOU thought about tonight’s qualification chances…

Astonishingly, it seems that every respondent predicted Käärijä to sail through for Finland, with 626 people backing “Cha Cha Cha” to make it to Saturday’s final. Only three respondents didn’t predict Sweden‘s Loreen to follow suit, with “Tattoo” being backed by 623 people (99.52% of the voters).

It gets a little less unanimous then, but five songs seemed to be approved by the vast majority of voters; Norway‘s Alessandra and Israel‘s Noa Kirel in joint third with 96.17% believing they will qualify, then Czechia‘s Vesna in fourth on 90.10%, and Serbia‘s Luke Black in fifth on 94.98%, narrowly ahead of Pasha Parfeny for Moldova on 84.19%.

After this, things get a little more complicated. In eight place, Remo Forrer of Switzerland (69.17%) edges out Portugal‘s Mimicat into ninth (68.05%). The last qualification spot, with only 62.94% of voters agreeing, is Let 3 of Croatia.

This would mean non-qualification for Malta, Latvia, Netherlands, Azerbaijan and Ireland.

Okay, since #YOU scrolled down this far, let’s see what our team thought of tonight’s show. Did the team here in Liverpool agree with the readers and viewers of ESC United?

Well, only one country was different for both the readers/viewers and our team; the fans voted in their droves for Serbia as a qualifier, whereas Team United opted for Malta‘s qualification in fifth place.
