The Danish public have spoken, and REDDI will be representing them at Eurovision with the song “The Show”!
REDDI, a Danish rock group made up of Ihan Haydar on drums, Ida Bergkvist on bass, Agnes Roslund on guitar, and Siggy Savery on vocals, formed relatively recently and madeg their debut as a band on the Dansk Melodi Gran Prix stage. Watch their performance of “The Show” below:
Tonight’s show opened with a performance by Denmark’s 2021 representatives, Fyr og Flamme, of their competition entry “Øve Os På Hinanden”. With the audience sufficiently warmed up, the eight finalists competing at Dansk Melodi Gran Prix took the stage, one-by-one. They were:
- Patrick Dorgan, “Vinden suser ind”
- Conf3ssions, “Hallelujah”
- Der Var Engang, “En skønne dag”
- Fuld Effekt – Rave med de hårde drenge
- Josie Elinor & Jack Warren, “Let Me Go”
- Morten Fillipsen, “Happy Go Lucky”
- REDDI, “The Show”
- Juncker, “Kommet for at blive”
After the results of the public voting were announced, three acts moved on to the super final. They were:
- REDDI, “The Show”
- Conf3ssions, “Hallelujah”
- Josie Elinor & Jack Warren, “Let Me Go”
All three acts then performed for a second time, competing for the Dansk Melodi Gran Prix crown. And with 37% of the public vote, REDDI with “The Show” was announced as the winner. Watch their in-the-moment reaction to the victory below:
Conf3ssions placed 2nd with 32% of the vote, with Josie Elinor & Jack Warren close behind with 31%.
Fans outside of Denmark and its territories missed the winner reveal and REDDI‘s victory reprise. The show went overtime and the broadcaster’s geoblock kicked in. Luckily, fans will get another chance to watch the ladies of REDDI perform “The Show” on an even bigger stage in May.
