Eurovision.tv announced this morning that the contest will be moved up one week and the Final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 in Denmark will take place May 10th, the Semi-Finals will take place on Tuesday, 6th and Thursday, 8th of May.
The original tentative dates were the 13th, 15th & 17th.

At this point, we still don’t know which city will host the contest however Jan Ola Sand, the Executive Supervisor said: “The Host Broadcaster DR explored all options, and came to the conclusion that they keep maximum flexibility in chosing a venue and host city by scheduling the Final for the 10th of May.

“We have tried to find a date that suits the cities that currently compete for hosting and which also fits our European colleagues,” says Pernille Gaardbo, Executive Producer.

Three cities are still in the running with Copenhagen and Herning being considered the front runners. A decision will be made sometime this summer however rumor has it that a decision will be made very soon. What are your thoughts? On our forum, the members are torn on where the contest should be held. While a lot of Danish members are in favor of Herning, the majority of visitors would prefer Copenhagen.
