Azerbaijan will make its return to the Junior Eurovision Song Contest this year, after not participating in the last two editions.
The land of fire will make its fourth appearance at the JESC 2021, after participating in 2012, 2013 and 2018. And the country has already chosen its artist: Sona Azizova.
The young singer was selected internally by iTV and participated in the first season of The Voice Kids Azerbaijan this year and finished second. The song is yet to be known, but you can still have a taste of Sona Azizova’s beautiful voice on The Voice Kids Azerbaijan YouTube channel.
3 months to the Junior Eurovision
Azerbaijan is now the fourth country to return to the Junior Eurovision, with Portugal, North Macedonia and Ireland. It is also the 14th country to confirm its participation to the contest.
This year’s Junior Eurovision will take place at La Seine Musicale in Paris, France on December 19. 14 countries have already confirmed their participation:

- Netherlands

- Poland
