Happy Wednesday! That means that we got another song of the Dutch national final for Junior Eurovision! Today, it’s the turn of girlband Melody. Without further ado, let’s listen to their song “Niet Wat Vrienden Doen (Eng: Not What Friends Do)” :
The song is written and composed by Julian Vahle, Jeroen Rietbergen, Maxine van Breukelen en Adriaan Philipse. The girlband exist out Ceder, Faye, Angelina, Soline and Mirre. The girls auditioned seperately of each other, but were put together as a girl group after the finalists of this year national final were announced. They have different singing and performing backgrounds: Faye was part of the Dutch children choir Kinderen voor Kinderen, while Angelina and Ceder participated in the Voice Kids 2020. This season 4 acts will compete at Junior Songfestival. The acts are: Ayana, Priscilla, Girlband Melody (Ceder, Faye, Angelina, Soline and Mirre) and the group SH!NE (Jade, Loïs and Lyova). The act that win the grand final on the 25th of September will represent The Netherlands at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2021 in Paris!
