They promised us a shorter national final, and that is what we are exactly getting, but that doesn’t stop them from bringing in a lot of potential. LRT (National broadcaster of Lithuania) has earlier today revealed the 36 potential candidates to represent the country in Rotterdam.
Eurovizijos Atranka 2020
Back in September, it was announced that the show will be a lot shorter compared to previous years, with a total of 6 shows taking place. 3 heats, 2 semi-finals and the grand final.
Starting on the 11th of January, the show will then air each Saturday until the grand final, so far set to the 15th of February. LRT has in the past before, changed the date of the final due to some different reasons, but so far everything seems promising and the date should stand.
The 36 acts will then compete across the 3 heats, where half of the field will be cut down before the 2 semi-finals. This will leave us with 18 participants before the semi-finals, with 9 acts in each semi-final. A total of 4 songs will qualify from each semi-final to the final, where the winner will be crowned.
