#YOU voted in your droves in yesterday’s first impressions poll, and a surprise winner has emerged – Portugal was the most promising rehearsal from yesterday (even without Salvador Sobral!)

Luísa’s rendition and the unique staging of the entry earned her the top spot on the first day, with Finland’s Norma John in second and Azerbaijan’s Dihaj in third.

The poll for day two is already up, so make sure #YOU check that out!

How? How can a rehearsal that doesn’t have the person who is actually going to sing this on stage at Eurovision possibly be most promising?

Did you guys not watch the others? Sweden and Finland were exactly the same as their NF winning performances…

Maybe we should just say now it will either be Italy or Portugal winning this and save the bandwidth!

I guess people were just happy with the staging and the song itself!

And, unlike a lot of other performers, people already saw Salvador performing it live more than once. And he is always secure. So, it’s not difficult to imagine him being there singing it since he will do exactly what he did so well in the national final. So, I think the amazing staging, considering the background, he lighting, the sound and the camera work as shown in the press center TVs, were more than enough to guarantee they would receive good reviews. His voice will only make it better. Azerbaijan, Finland and Sweden were great too. And Armenia today was amazing.
