The staff at ESC United are excited that we are going to the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest. But we hope that we can represent our readers the best that we can.

As a result, we are asking you to help us find the best questions to ask the singers and their delegations. We have created a new section in the 2013 ESC section of our popular forum called “Questions for the artists and delegation“. You can find the link HERE.

These questions can be Eurovision related, general music questions regarding the artist, or even random questions (e.g., what three items would you take with you on a deserted Island).

We will have final say about which questions get asked, but we’d appreciate it if everyone keeps their questions polite. Negative or overly critical questions (e.g. Why is your song so bad? Do you think your song is plagiarism?) will most likely not get chosen.

So what questions do you think would be the best questions to ask artists? Please share your thoughts on our popular forum. Each country will have its own thread within which you can ask your questions. Be sure to include your name and your city and country of origin.

Again the link to this section of the forum can be found HERE.

There are 39 countries and we are 3 editors going, so each of us will sort of handle 13 countries. I for example will handle Georgia, Romania, Iceland so I will look at people sending in questions for those countries. Matt and Zach each will have their 13 countries and will more closely at questions for those countries. It was easy to divide the work load as our tastes differ and we all got 13 countries where we like the songs.

When we interview say ROBIN from Sweden, we will say MARY from Mexico asked us to ask you how did you feel tobe the representing your country on home soil? So the people who send questions, they will get the credit. One thing you must remember time is limited an we probably will have 5 minutes of interview time per artist so keep the questions fairly short. Of course we donot have questions that just require a YES or NO, but we also donot want questions where the answer is a whole book. Also remember that during the two weeks the artists will be intervuiewed by tons of people so they will get tired of questions such as WHO WERE YOUR MUSICAL INFLUENCES? So we want you to come up with original questions.
