Eurovision-Song-Contest-Stockholm-2016-Euroclub

Now that most of the ESC United live team are here in Stockholm ready for the big day tomorrow, our thoughts turn to the events and festivities of the Eurovision Song Contest being in town. This year, the Euroclub is an all-encompassing venue with the Eurofan Café and club sections both being in the same complex in Gamla Stan. As a result there is plenty of action going on all under one roof over the next two weeks. But fear not – we’re here to guide you through what is happening…

The full schedule released by the EBU can be found HERE, which details the events and parties taking place each day and night over the next two weeks.

Many of the events will not be out of place to Eurovision regulars and there is a healthy selection of events to choose from.

There are, however, some stand out events for us. From Thursday 5th May, meet and greets with some of this year’s artists will take place in the Eurofan Café, where lucky fans will get a chance to really know the artists, including Minus One, Greta Sálome and Rykka.

On Saturday 7th, Velvet and Shirley Clamp will host their usual Euroclub slot with a very special guest – Melodifestivalen regular and Greece’s 2005 victor Helena Paparizou!

As previously mentioned, the Opening Ceremony will take place on Sunday 8th but it is now revealed this will also coincide with a flag ceremony at Euroclub by soldiers of the Swedish Life Guards.

And the rest? We’ll leave that up to you. Make sure to check out the guide as well as our website as we continue to update with events in and around Stockholm this fortnight!

Will you be attending any events in Stockholm and Euroclub? Come and find us!
