Welcome to Laura from Belgium!
Welcome to Laura from Belgium!

Ladies and Gentleme, I would like to bring another interview from the ‘Class of 2016’! May I introduce to you, Laura Tesoro who will represent Belgium with her song “What’s the Pressure”.

1. You have won the right to represent Belgium in Eurovision. Is Eurovision something you have always wanted to do?

I never expected this to happen, ever in my life. That’s for sure. I think that the chance to represent your country, is a once in a lifetime upportunity! So getting this chance is kind of a dream coming true.

2. You took to the stage and performed “Dum Tek Tek” and became a fan favourite from there, did that bring some added pressure for you?

Pressure is not the right word, for me it’s more like a challenge. I always try to challenge myself and to get better every time I performe.

3. Have you taken any advice from any past Eurovision singers about how to approach the contest in May?

Yes, I talked to Tom Dice and Axel Hirsoux and they told me that focus is the most important thing. There will be a lot going on in Stockholm, but I should focus on my act, so that’s what I’m going to do!

4. You won over the voters in EuroSong with your performance and song.
Will you be keeping the song and performance the same for May? or will you be making some changes?

I am going to do everything I have to, to prepare for the eurovision. The act has to be bigger and more so I’ll probably have some changes yes.

5. Are you a Eurovision fan? and what is your favourite Eurovision song?

My favourite song of all times is ‘Euphoria’. I love it how everybody can sing along with the song and how some people don’t even know that it was winning eurovision song.

6. Will you be embarking on a promotional tour prior to Eurovision?

I think my main priority is to make the song and the act as good as possible in the meanwhile, so I don’t know if there will be plenty of time to do promo tours. I’ll just wait and see 😉

7. Thank you for taking the time to speak with us, is there anything you would like to say to the ESCUnited.com community?

I’m looking forward to perform in Stockholm for everybody!
