We had the opportunity to have a chat with Montenegrin representative at upcoming Junior Eurovision, Jana Mirković.

Hello Jana, thank you for your time for this interview.

The pleasure is all mine.

How did you feel when you found out that you will represent your country at Junior Eurovision?

At first I was very happy and now I am so impatient because I can’t wait to feel the Eurovision euphoria, as everybody is saying me that it is something that I will remember my whole life. Representing my country, Montenegro,  is a big honor and even bigger as I am representing the young generation. I am so glad that RTCG decided to participate again this year and I am even more glad that they’ve invited me to represent them.

Can you tell us something about your song and it’s developing?

“Storm” is one cheerful song about two young people, about love. Youth is bringing big energy and force, just like a storm. The song is composed by Mirsad Serhatlic, the lyrics were written by myself and Boban Novovic, while the arrangement and production was done by Vladimir Graic. Cooperation with them was very smooth. The name of the song made many people thinking that it is a ballad, but we really wanted to make a cheerful song that will bring positive energy and smiles to everyones faces. I hope that we made that happen.

What do you expect out of your participation at Junior Eurovision?

I expect to justify the call from RTCG and the whole team who was involved and my family who is supporting me the most. Also I would like to have fun, to enjoy in my performance at the main stage. I can’t wait to meet other participants, journalists, fans and everyone who will be folliwing JESC from Sofia.

Have you heard some other participating songs? If you did, can you tell us which ones you like?

I did hear most of them. I like many, but I will tell you my favorites after the contest. 🙂

How are preparations for your performance going? Can you reveal something about it?

Preparations started the next day I accepted the call from RTCG. I started practising my choreography with Milica Cerovic who has many experience with Eurovision and many world wide popular shows that were aired here. Ivana Murisic from Cetinje is in charge of my costume and I have to mention my PR, Milica Fajgelj, who was also in Knez’s team this year in Vienna. I am lucky to have them and to get advices from them. Of course my performance will be matched with the rhythm of the song.

What will happen if you win and what if you come last?

Don’t let the win take you up, and don’t let the defeat take you down. The most important thing is to give my best and and that we are all satisfied.

How would you call kids and people from around the Europe to vote for your song?

Storm is a song about love! Everyone whose love is as strong as the storm should vote for me.

Jana, once again thank you for having this interview with us. I wish you all the best in Sofia.

Thank you also. I wish all the best to you and your readers.
