ESC United is always looking for quality contributors and have people helping us out from around the world. And this is your opportunity to join in on the fun. We are lookking for new correspondents/bloggers/editors to join our team.

The new season kicks off Sept 1st and get ready for some significant changes….more to come on that.

Here is a quick FAQ:

Q: What kind of positions are available?

A: We are currently looking for:

– Editors
You will be in charge of covering the News for the upcoming 2015 contest as well as conducting interviews.

– Bloggers
Bloggers are responsible for unique editorials and opinion pieces. It’s a creative way to express yourself. Bloggers are also in charge of our gossip/rumors section and always on the hunt for the latest and greatest information around the contest.

– Social Media Expert
Do you love Social Media? We are looking for a dedicated person who will handle our Twitter account, update Facebook, Tumblr, Instagram etc. and communicate directly with our readers.

– Technical Lead
Are you good with systems, graphics and website design? Then this may be the right job for you.

– Podcast Expert
Do you want to be in charge of our upcoming Podcasts? Then let us know
Q: Who can join your team?

A: Technically anyone can join the team. You don’t have to be a pro and we always enjoy giving people a chance to express themselves. Whether you are a working mom in Bulgaria, a Swedish student or a Peruvian Sandwich artist; as long as you are professional and have a good grasp of the English language, then you should definitely apply. Oh, and it definitely helps if you are a Eurovision fan, but that goes without saying!

Q: I want Press accreditation, how does that work?

A: Every Eurovision blog and news website only gets a small amount of accreditation allocated which means there is limited space on the team. Unfortunately we cannot guarantee anyone a press pass for Eurovision as we consider different criteria including contribution, availability, skills and seniority. But we are always looking for local people to attend National Finals and we can probably help you with access. In addition, you are in charge of coverage for certain countries and you’ll be in charge of content and direction.
Q: Will I get paid?

A: This is a volunteer position so you will not be paid a salary. However, you may qualify for commission at a later point.
Q: What else do I need to know?

A: We are a friendly group of people so team work is an essential aspect of your job so please keep that in mind when applying. We all share constructive criticism, even the leaders need a reality check every once in a while but we are never rude. We also understand that this is a hobby and not a full-time job so nobody has to dedicate their lives to be part of this team but there is a certain level of engagement we expect from each team member. And the most important thing is: HAVE FUN!!!
Q: How do I apply?

A: You can send us an email at info@escunited.com or you can fill out the contact form below. We will respond to your inquiry at our earliest convenience. Please tell us a bit about yourself as well as the role you are applying for.
