We continue our countdown to Eurovision 2016 with the next of our dream team choices! Today Belarus is our subject, so who did you choose as your ideal Belorussian representative for the contest in Sweden?
By a narrow margin it was 2014 participant Elena Sinyavskaya that prevailed in our poll of readers and forum members. Drawing parallels to 2015’s Opera Skaala, her previous national selection entry “Via Lattea” was one of the early forum favourites in the 2014 season but ultimately lost out, finishing 11th. It was to be Teo’s “Cheesecake” that would instead go to Copenhagen – but you’ve decided that Sinyavskaya should get her golden chance in 2016!
Joint second in our poll were popular singer Gunesh and 2015 swing band Muzzart who were unable to beat Uzari and Maimuna in the latest Belorussian selection. Perhaps either of these two performers will return to victory in time for next year’s contest?
The full list of suggestions (ties in random order);
Elena Sinyavskaya, Gunesh, Muzzart, Anastacia Malashkevich, Dakota, DetiDetey, Martian Love, Ur’ia, Nuteki, Iowa, Bianka, Litesound, Serebryanaya Svadba, Vitaly Voronko, Tanin Jazz, Lyapis Trubetskoy
