1.89 million people are understood to have watched Eurovision’s Greatest Hits when it aired last night on BBC One.

The average figure would mean 9.5% of the total market share watching on Friday night tuned in to see the BBC’s 60th anniversary spectacle, featuring the likes of Lordi, Johnny Logan, Dana International and Conchita Wurst. The concert peaked at 2.12 million (12.3%) at 10.15pm just before the final reprise with all acts.

By comparison, Masterchef achieved 3.54 million in the preceding 8.30pm slot on BBC One, and the figure is lower than the national finals previously run by the BBC.

No data as yet is available for RTÉ Two in Ireland.
