Tonight sees two Eurovision shows taking place across Europe – quite the busy Thursday night for Euro fans!

Germany – Unser Song für Österreich – 20:15 CET

Germany’s final for Eurovision 2015 takes place tonight in Hannover and in a show that promises to be spectacular, eight acts will be vying to represent the country in neighbouring Austria.

The acts and their songs are;

  • Alexa Feser – Glück (first round), Das Gold von Morgen (second round)

  • Andreas Kümmert – Home Is In My Hands (first round), Heart of Stone (second round)

  • Ann Sophie – Jump The Gun (first round), Black Smoke (second round)

  • Fahrenhaidt – Frozen Silence (first round), Mother Earth (second round)

  • Faun – Hörst du die Trommeln (first round), Abschied (second round)

  • Laing – Zeig deine Muskeln (first round), Wechselt die Beleuchtung (second round)

  • Mrs. Greenbird – Shine Shine Shine (first round), Take My Hand (second round)

  • Noize Generation – A Song For You (first round), Crazy Now (second round)

Only four acts will be able to perform their second round songs following a televote. The two artists in this round who impress the audience sufficiently will qualify to the superfinal where they will sing their most popular of the two songs again before a final vote to select Germany’s song. You can watch the show on NDR or eurovision.tv.

Portugal – Festival da Canção semi-final 2 – 22:06 CET

Portugal’s Festival da Canção reaches its second semi-final tonight where the final line-up will be completed for Saturday. The songs taking part in this semi are;

  1. Rubi Machado – Quando a lua voltar a passar

  2. José Freitas – Mal menor (Ninguém me guia à razão)

  3. Teresa Radamanto – Um fado em Viena

  4. Simone de Oliveira – À espera das canções

  5. Filipe Gonçalves – Dança Joana

  6. Diana Piedade – Maldito tempo

Simone de Oliveira has previously represented Portugal in 1965 and 1969 and so would make the longest gap between participations in Eurovision history if chosen. Diana Piedade was the runner-up of Portugal’s version of Idol in 2009.

You can watch the second semi-final on RTP1 HERE or on RTP Internacional HERE.

Who do you want to win in Germany? And who goes to the final for Portugal?
