It has been revealed today that the announcement of the participating countries is about to be announced by the EBU. The list is currently consisting of 41 countries. We have already had confirmation of 40 countries, so who could the 41st country be?
The 41st country could possibly be the country who had the role as a ‘special guest’ in 2015, Australia, which seems to be the most likely conclusion at this point in time. Although, we could see the return of Croatia or Bosnia Herzegovina, who have been on and off with making decisions and if rumours to be believed, then one of these countries could return. The 40 countries who participated in Vienna will be present, minus Portugal, with the addition of Bulgaria and Ukraine seem to be the likely participants.
Jon Ola Sand has stated that there are 41 countries so far to participate in Stockholm who are officially confirmed. The official announcement is believed to be made very soon. Stick with us for the news, when the EBU official reveal the list!
