While Sanremo Giovani auditions were taking place during the month of November, a parallel selection process called Area Sanremo was also underway. First, a pool of hundreds of local artists was whittled down to 20 through a series of auditions and hearings. Then, the top 20 performed for the Musical Commission for one of the four spots in the Sanremo Giovani final on December 19.
After careful deliberation, the four finalists have been determined. Our Area Sanremo winners are:
- Dipinto – Criminali
- Fellow – Alieno
- Nausica – Favole
- Omini – Mare Forza 9oi
With the inclusion of these four winners, the full list of Sanremo Giovani finalists is now complete! These twelve acts will be competing for three spots in the big Sanremo in February:

While the Area finalists have posted original or cover music online, their Sanremo Giovani songs have not yet been released. The music videos will appear on the RaiPlay website, where the other 8 finalists’ videos are already available to view, sometime in the next few days.
