Suspilne Broadcaster has completed the song submission stage for ‘Eurovision 2024’. In total, 389 songs were submitted from 288 artists, 222 of which were solo artists.

Music Producer of ‘Vidbir 2024’ Dmytro Shnurov said that among submitted songs, there were at least four ‘100% ready hit songs’, ten potential hit songs, a few comebacks and something new that hopefully would amaze us and the world.

It is also worth noting that of the 389 submissions, only 337 were competition eligible songs, the majority of which were in Ukrainian (57.5%). Of the remaining entries 33% were in English, 9% were bilingual featuring a majority of Ukrainian and English lyrics, and 0.5% featured the use of other international languages. Further, 15% of artists submitted more than one song.

From all the submitted songs, a longlist will be formed which will contain no more than 20 artists. It is planned to be announced before 9th of November.

Selected participants will be auditioned and among them 10 finalists are expected to be chosen. There will also be an online voting process for the remaining non-selected entries, and the artist that receives the highest number of votes will also be included in the final.

The final of ‘Vidbir 2024’ will be in February of the next year. Similarly to previous years, the winner of the selection will be chosen as combination of televote and jury voting. Jury, in their turn, will be selected through online voting.
