The Eurovision 2024 core production team has been completed with the addition of 2 Eurovision legends in.
Christer Bjorkman, producer of Melodifestivalen and previous Eurovisions, and Per Blankens, from Melodifestivalen and many other talent shows, are now part of a strong core team that will organise the contest in Malmo.
Bjorkman was ecstatic to be part of the Eurovision world again, after working on Melodifestivalen for 20 years and the past 2 Eurovision events in Sweden, he moved on to produce the American Song Contest. He is an avid fan of the contest and admitted “it was impossible to say no.”
Per has a fantastic background as part of the Melodifestivalen team as well as producing multiple talent shows across the world, including in China. He admits working on Eurovision will be an incredible adventure.
The two join a large team of Swedish superstars, a full list can be found on the Eurovision website, but in the announcement, the following were also added to the team; David Wessén – Head of Production; Mats Lindgren – Head of Legal; Madeleine Sinding-Larsen – Head of Media; and Linnea Lopez – Executive Assistant.
Eurovision is now fast approaching, with many countries confirming their participation and national finals soon to start!
Eurovision 2024 takes place in Malmo, Sweden in May after Loreen’s 2nd victory in Liverpool. The contest will take place on the 7th, 9th, and 11th of May 2024 from the Malmo Arena.
