Ziferblat release “Bird of Pray” revamp!

A revamped version of Ziferblat’s “Bird of Pray” was released Monday morning. The updated version of the song will be Ukraine’s entry to the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest.

In a statement, the band explained their reasoning for the revamp, expressing a desire to ensure the song is Eurovision-ready: “This ‘cosmetic overhaul’ allowed us to integrate elements that we hope will resonate with the Eurovision community.” 

According to Suspilne, the band chose to work with producer Anton Chilibi for his Eurovision credentials: “We deliberately looked for someone who already had experience writing songs specifically for Eurovision.” Chilibi produced 2022 winner “Stefania,” as well as Ukraine’s 2024 entry “Teresa & Maria,” which placed third in the Grand Final.  

The revamp incorporates new elements such as dramatic pauses in the introduction that “create intrigue without revealing the entire essence of the composition,” as well as “epic” orchestration, according to the band. 

Ziferblat won Vidbir 2025, Ukraine’s National Selection, with a combined 19 points from the jury and public. Besides Luxembourg, which returned to the Eurovision Song Contest in 2024 after a 31-year absence, Ukraine is the only participating country to hold a 100% qualification streak.

The revamped version of “Bird of Pray” is available on the official YouTube channel of the Eurovision Song Contest.
