The excitement is building in Serbia as the submission deadline for entries into Pesma za Evroviziju 2024, the national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest, has been extended! Head of the Serbian delegation at the Eurovision Song Contest, Uroš Marković, announced that the new deadline for submissions is November 10, 2023, offering artists and songwriters additional time to submit their entries for the highly-anticipated competition.

The open call for entries was initially announced on August 1, sparking the interest of musicians and songwriters across the country. Serbia confirmed its participation in the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 back in July, and the country seems to want to put forward a strong and innovative entry that will captivate the Eurovision stage.

In an official statement, RTS emphasized that the national final for Pesma za Evroviziju 2024 aims to develop and improve musical creativity in the field of popular music, in addition to seeking a representative that can truly represent the country on the international stage.

The extension of the deadline is a welcome opportunity for artists and songwriters to refine their compositions. It lets them improve their work and show off their skills on a big stage. Both newcomers and experienced musicians are encouraged to join in and add to Serbia’s lively music scene!

The Eurovision Song Contest has been a beloved tradition in Serbia since the country’s debut in 2007, including the historic win with Marija Šerifović’s “Molitva.”

With the extended deadline until November 10, 2023, Serbia is sending a clear message: they are dedicated to fostering musical creativity, and they are determined to shine at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2024!
