The Dutch representatives Mia Nicolai and Dion Cooper have filmed their postcard for the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 in Liverpool. This was confirmed by a video posted on the BBC Eurovision account across platforms.

In the video, Mia and Dion are shown skating and dancing around the beautiful city of Zaandam. Zaandam is a city just north of Amsterdam in the province of North Holland. The city is well-known for its quintessential modern Dutch architecture, such as Zaandam’s most famous structure: the Inntel Hotel. The building, designed by Wilfried van Winden, looks like many stereotypically Zaandam houses (Zaanse Huisjes) stacked up on one another.
In the brief video, they show off the equipment used: smoke machines, drones, 360 fish-eye cameras and even rotating cameras. It seems the BBC are off creating amazing postcards for this year’s Eurovision. Several other countries’ artists have also been confirmed to already have filmed their postcards. Check out the BBC Eurovision account to, for example, watch La Zarra ride a horse.
Mia Nicolai & Dion Cooper will be hitting the Eurovision stage with their song Burning Daylight on Tuesday May 9 in the first half of Semi-Final 1.
