The revamped version of “Stilla Ċkejkna,” for the 2024 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, has been released alongside the official music video.
Ramires Sciberras has been selected to represent Malta at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2024 in Madrid with his song “Stilla Ċkejkna” (Little Star). This marks a historic moment as it’s Malta’s first-ever JESC entry performed entirely in Maltese.
“Stilla Ċkejkna” (Little Star) tells a story of self-discovery, courage, and love. The song follows the journey of a small star, feeling lost in the dark, but finding hope and direction through the light of others. It highlights the transformative power of love and support, as the singer realizes their true self with loved ones by their side. Through lyrics like “I fly up where I can dream,” the song speaks to overcoming fear, embracing inner strength, and shining brightly despite uncertainty. It’s a message of hope, growth, and resilience.
The song, written and composed by Aleandro Spiteri Monseigneur, Lon Kirkop, and Peter Borg, captures a heartfelt and inspiring message. The music video was directed by Gordon Bonello, a long-time creative force in the Junior Eurovision scene, adding his signature touch to Ramires’ exciting journey to the Eurovision stage.
