Yesterday Maltese broadcaster PBS revealed that a total of 14 finalists qualified to the final of the Malta Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2024.

The finalists were selected by a panel of expert jurors from the submissions received between July 12 and August 19, and will now compete for the opportunity to represent Malta at the 2024 Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Madrid, Spain.

The selected finalists and songs are as follows:

  • Andrea Camilleri – “Gold”
  • Anneka Xerri – “Trying To Be Me (Ħeq le)” (Right no)
  • Chanel Abela Camilleri – “I’ll Be Alright”
  • Daylin Cassar Randich – “Bonafide”
  • Eleny Incorvaja Scerri – “Guiding Light”
  • Emma Farrugia – “Summertime”
  • Ilona Mercieca – “Zip It Up”
  • Kayleen Mercieca – “Lalala”
  • Keira Farrugia – “Kif Jien” (How I am)
  • Maria Curmi – “Għawdex” (Gozo)
  • Ramires Sciberras – “Stilla Ċkejkna” (Little Star)
  • Rihanna Mifsud, Mia Mifsud, Natalia Xerri, Alaiya Cini – “Grrlz”
  • Shaznay Mangion – “Above It All”
  • Thomas Casha – “A Little Bit Longer”

Many faces are returning from last year’s MJESC such as runner-up Daylin Cassar Randich, finalists Andrea Camilleri, Anneka Xerri, Emma Farrugia, Kiera Farrugia, and semi-finalist Maria Curmi. Shaznay Mangion is also returning to the competition, last competing in the 2022 MJESC final.

The MJESC 2024 final will take place on September 21st, where the winner will be determined using an 80% jury vote and 20% televote.
