Lithuania in ESC 2025

It would appear, that the format that Lithuania used for their 2024 selection, will most likely be used once again. However, that is all dependent on the amount of submissions the broadcaster will receive. LRT has however decided that Eurovizija.lt will once again act as the national final method.

The broadcaster has shared, that the shows will start airing in January, with an expected 4 or 5 semi-finals taking place, as well as a final. The semi-finals will be once again be pre-recorded, while the final will take place live. One thing that the national final will bring back, will be the jury notes, which are made after each performance, in order to guide viewers towards the correct song to represent the country.

For 2024, 5 semi-finals were held, where the top 2 of each semi-final advanced to the final, which consisted of 10 songs. During the final, a superfinal round was also held, among the 3 songs that had scored the highest in the first round. The superfinal was then fully decided only by public vote, where only the top 3 that had advanced could receive votes.

Further information about taking part in the Lithuanian national final can be found at eurovizija.lt. There all the rules and the application process is listed in more details.

In 2024, Lithuania was represented by Silvester Belt and his song “Luktelk“, which was performed in Lithuanian. The song continued Lithuania’s qualification streak, by reaching the final for a local record 4th year in a row. In the final, the song finished mid-table by landing on 14th place.
