Rai, the Italian Broadcaster, has confirmed that 12-year-old Simone Grande, winner of “The Voice Kids” as Italy’s Junior Eurovision 2024 contestant. Grande will perform the song “Pigiama Party.” Grande is the second consecutive contestant from “The Voice Kids” to represent Italy at JESC, following Melissa and Ranya in 2023.
Hailing from Rozzano, Grande recently paid tribute to Italy’s Eurovision history by releasing a cover of Mahmood and Blanco’s 2022 entry “Brividi.”
Grande will compete against contestants from sixteen other countries that have confirmed their participation in the 2024 Junior Eurovision Song Contest. Albania, Malta, the Netherlands, Poland and Ukraine will announce their selected contestants later this month, while TG4, the Irish broadcaster, is set to announce Ireland’s representative in October.

Italy made its Junior Eurovision debut in 2014 with its most successful (and only winning) entry to date, “Tu primo grande amore” by Vincenzo Cantiello.
This year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest will be held at the Caja Mágica in Madrid on November 16, 2024.
