The official music video for “Pigiama Party,” Italy’s entry for the 2024 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, has been released.
The song, which is in Italian and English, is performed by 12-year-old Simone Grande from Rozzano. Grande won the most recent series of “The Voice Kids.”
“Pigiama Party” was written by former Eurovision contestant Paolo Meneguzzi, Planet Funk frontman Alex Uhlmann, and Luca Mattioni. Meneguzzi represented Switzerland in the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest with the Italian language song “Era stupendo,” but failed to qualify for the final, placing 13th in the second semi-final with 47 points.
Italy has participated in Junior Eurovision every year since winning their debut year in 2014 with the song “Tu primo grande amore” by Vincenzo Cantiello. Grande will follow fellow “The Voice Kids” alums Melissa and Ranya, who represented Italy at JESC last year with “Un mondo giusto,” placing 11th.
Italy will compete against 16 other countries at the 2024 Junior Eurovision Song Contest at the Caja Mágica in Madrid on November 16.
