The final day for submitting entries to the Croatian broadcaster (HRT) has just recently passed, and already the broadcaster could share that a record high interest, in taking part in the national final.

DORA 2025

The success of Baby Lasagna has truly had a great impact in the Croatian music market, as the Croatian broadcaster could announce that a total of 221 applications were received. Since Dora returned as the national final format in 2019, this is the highest amount received.

Not much else has been shared so far, but what awaits now is for the broadcaster to select their participants for the national final. In 2024, the broadcaster expanded their selection, by accepting 24 songs into the broadcasted competition spread across the added two semi-finals. However, the national final last year was held in the HRT studios, meanwhile prior to that, it was held in the coast city of Opatija.

Where Dora 2025 will be held is still unknown, and how many shows and songs will take part is as well, but the national final is expected to take place in the second half of February 2025.

Out of all the submitted songs, only those that haven’t been publicly published prior, will be taken into consideration. Of course, when more information is shared, we’ll report on it.

Earlier this year, Croatia scored a historic result, as Baby Lasagna managed to make all of Europe dance along to “Rim Tim Tagi Dim“. Not only did the big boy make Europe dance, but he also overall finished 2nd place, giving Croatia their best ever result, since becoming an independent nation, with a special thanks from the televote, who awarded him 1st place.

Can #YOU see Croatia pull another great result now, thanks to the higher interest and do #YOU have someone in mind you’d like to see do this?
Let’s hear from #YOU on our forum site right HERE, or visit us on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Youtube, TikTok and Discord.
