Nelli Matula, the second act revealed to be competing in this year’s UMK 2025, has released the song and music video for her entry, “Hitaammin hautaan.” Written by Kaisa Korhonen and Nelli Matula, this radio-friendly pop hit showcases Matula’s vocal range, and is a reflection of her desire to find new meanings in the direction of her life.

Matula is no stranger to the music scene in Finland. After releasing two albums and performing in the newcomer’s medley at the Emma Gala (where she was also nominated for Pop of the Year), she is ready for the next step in her music career, UMK 2025.

The remaining six acts competing in UMK 2025 have already been revealed, with each song and music video being released individually through January 16th.

Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu 2025 (UMK 2025) will take place on February 8th at the Nokia Arena in Tampere. The show will be hosted by Mikko Silvennoinen, Eva Frantz, Jasmin Beloued, Katri Norrlin, and Sanni.

The winner of UMK 2025 will represent Finland at the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest, held in Basel, Switzerland, this May.
