Dansk Melodi Grand Prix is now less than 2 months away and of course, someone needs to guide us through the show. On January 7th, that role was finally revealed, and if you happened to be watching the Danish national final last year and enjoyed it, then you’re in for a great surprise.
DMGP 2025 Hosts
The show will be hosted by Stéphanie Surrugue and Sara Bro who both hosted the Danish national final as well last year. The Danish 2024 contest was hosted in DR Koncerthuset were both Danish and international viewers got a chance to see these two ladies shine and guide viewers to the end. With the ending resulting in SABA being crowned as the winner.
Now, these two ladies will have the same task together once again, when they will instead do it all over, in Jyske Bank Boxen, which is located in Herning. This venue has hosted the Danish national final in the past, and is best remembered for being the place, where Emmelie De Forest was crowned the winner, back in 2013, which afterwards led to victory in Malmö.
Whether another Danish victory is on the line now, we shall see, but even qualifying for the final, would probably be more than enough in this Danish time of crisis.
Regarding hosting once more, Stéphanie Surrugue did say:
- It’s absolutely a great pleasure to once again be onboard on Denmarks largest partybus.
- Dansk Melodi Grand Prix is rooted in a Danish and European tradition, which has cultural meaning, that reaches beyond the music.
Sara Bro who will be the other host, also added:
- It’s a very special atmosphere and the best, wildest and most dedicated fans, whom creates this frame full of joy and glitter.
- I hope the people are ready once more for another party, with lots of great music and entertainment – and I’m looking forward to welcome everyone at home in their living rooms and everyone who comes to Boxen to a gigantic welcome, of course together with my great idol and buddy, Stéphanie Surrugue.
These two lovely ladies will also be present on the 6th of February when they will present the 8 selected finalists, who will compete for the Danish ticket to Basel. The Danish national final will then take place on the 1st of March
