5 weeks of Melodifestivalen has led us to tonight, the final in Stockholm/Solna and now we know that Marcus & Martinus will represent Sweden at home in Malmö in May!

And what a competition it was. 12 artists vying for the crown of Sweden in front of 28,000 Melfest fans in the Friends Arena. Here is how the final lineup went:

  1. Maria Sur – “When I’m Gone”
  2. Jay Smith – “Back to My Roots”
  3. Lisa Ajax – “Awful Liar”
  4. Smash into Pieces – “Heroes Are Calling”
  5. Cazzi Opeia – “Give My Heart a Break”
  6. Annika Wickihalder – “Light”
  7. Marcus & Martinus – “Unforgettable”
  8. Dotter – “It’s Not Easy to Write a Love Song”
  9. Medina – “Que Sera”
  10. Liamoo – “Dragon”
  11. Jacqueline – “Effortless”
  12. Danny Saucedo – “Happy That You Found Me”

After each act performed voting took place in a 50/50 style between an international jury and Swedish public vote. The international jury was made up of Cyprus, Ireland, Iceland, Belgium, Malta, Australia, Germany and Serbia. The international jury’s top 3 were Medina, Cazzi Opeia, and Marcus & Martinus.

But with the televote that means the most to the Swedish public, they chose to agree with the jury’s winner, Marcus & Martinus!

This means that it is the twins who are going south to Malmö in May, taking the hosts to the party in the Oresund.

Do #YOU agree with the Swedes? Who would #YOU  have liked to see win Melodifestivalen? Let us know in the comments on social media, or join the discussion on our forum or in our discord server!
