Earlier this month, RTL unveiled the first details about their national selection with 3 categories of participants mentioned: Singers with a song ready for Eurovision, Singers without a song and Songwriters wanting to collaborate with a national talent.
This weekend, the first casting round for the selection happened at the Rockhal and it was the turn of singers without a song to confront a panel of juries.
Around 100 singers with no previously published songs got the opportunity to show their talent to the juries. The best singers from this group will then face candidates from the more experienced group of singers.
The submission window for singers with a song prepared for the contest as well as songwriters wanting to work with Luxembourgish talents is still open.
At the end of the preselection rounds all the finalists will then meet at the National Final broadcasted live on the 27th of January from the Rockhal in Belval where the winner will be selected and get the chance of representing Luxembourg at Eurovision in Malmö!
