Just as we were basking in the adventures of Croatia’s representatives in Eurovision 2023 in Tel Aviv and Warsav, their tour of surprises does not seem to cease! The eccentric and lively group presented the golden tractor in Kastav (the vicinity of Rijeka and Opatija, where DORA 2023 was held).
The tractor, that goes with the lyrics of their song and has become a bit of their imprint, is also electric. Damir Martinović Mrle and Zoran Prodanović Prlja said that they plan to get to Liverpool by road and teleportation: “We intend to go to Liverpool with it for the Eurovision Song Contest. We will go by road and teleportation. And we heard that some people are already hitchhiking, so we hope to catch up with them, to get on board together, they said.”
The band emphasized that the tractor is a “symbol of transhumanism” and mentioned that they no longer used fossil fuels and that they were fighting for the preservation of nature. They believe that nowadays man is the closest to eradicating hunger and stupidity in the world with the help of technology and common sense.
The tractor was made by Zoran Drnjević from Kastav about 20 days. Many requirements had to be respected, and he struggled the most with the design. He said: “There was little time. I made models from the carpet to present to them.”
After Poland and Israel, Let 3 is going to Madrid this weekend for the official Spanish Eurovision party where as many as 28 of this year’s contestants will perform, and a week later to London, which will conclude the promotional tour before the trip to the final competition for the best song of Europe in Liverpool.
Croatia will perform in the first semi final of the Eurovision Song Contest in Liverpool on May 9, 2023 at 20:00 BST (21:00 CEST).
