The Spanish broadcaster, RTVE, has released the official music video for “Como la Lola,” Spain’s entry for the 2024 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, performed by nine-year-old Chloe DelaRosa from Badajoz.
Written by David Parejo Marti, Luis Vicente Ramiro, and Alejandro Martínez Valderrama, “Como la Lola” pays tribute to iconic Spanish singer Lola Flores, as well as some of DelaRosa’s favorite modern artists, including Olivia Rodrigo and Taylor Swift. DelaRosa will follow Sandra Valero, who came second in the 2023 competition with “Loviu,” written by the same team.
Spain has participated in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest nine times, winning the 2004 competition with the song “Antes muerta que sencilla,” (“I’d rather be dead than plain”) performed by María Isabel.
The 2024 Junior Eurovision Song Contest will take place on November 16 at Madrid’s Caja Mágica. DelaRosa will perform 10th in the running order, between Andria Putkaradze of Georgia and Germany’s Bjarne.
