The 15 semi-finalists of Eesti Laul 2024, Estonia’s national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest, were announced Monday evening. Among this year’s Eurovision hopefuls are returners such as 2023 runner-up Ollie and now-seventh-time participants Traffic, plus veterans of Estonia’s music scene such as beloved indie rockers Ewert and the Two Dragons.
In total, 215 songs were submitted to the contest. A 41-member jury narrowed down the songs.

The semi-final will take place on January 20 in Tartu, followed by the final on February 17 in Tallinn. This year’s songs will premiere on television for the first time on December 8.
The format of the selection is a little different this year: Five of these 15 songs will qualify for a 10-song final, where they will join five pre-selected finalists. Those pre-selected finalists have not been announced yet.
