Eurovision 2016 is really starting to come together. But there’s a lot more action and excitement to come this week, so let’s take a look at the schedule for the rest of January;

25th January – We know the theme and semi-finals!

As you have probably already seen, the theme for this year’s contest has been revealed. We will Come Together in Stockholm in May! Today has also seen the allocation for the semi-finals with 37 of the 43 participating countries allocated a semi-final. Australia’s first ever semi-final performance will come in semi-final 2 this year, and each semi-final will also see two returnees. Check out the full results of the allocation draw HERE.

30th January – A Dal’s second heat is on!

Hungary’s selection show will see its second heat take place this weekend as more acts aim to reach the semi-final stage. Last week, six acts passed through to the semi-final stage and six more will join from this weekend’s show. André Vásáry, Anna Patai, C.E.T., Gergő Oláh, Group’n’Swing, Kállay Saunders Band, Karmapolis & Böbe Szécsi, Laci Gáspár, Maszkura és a Tücsökraj and Passed make up this Saturday’s heat, with a few familiar faces in the lineup. Can András Kállay-Saunders make it through to Eurovision again?

30th January – Lithuanian marathon reaches halfway mark

Lithuania’s marathon Eurovision selection “Eurovizijos” dainų konkurso nacionalinė atranka will reach the halfway stage this weekend. Donny Montell makes his return to the Lithuanian selection with hopes to return to the contest in Stockholm, but will he make it through another round? 10 acts who applied with their own songs will perform this weekend but not all participants will be lucky…

31st January – Supernova introduces its acts

Our first return to Latvia gave us an introduction and background to Supernova and the country’s forays in Eurovision but we should find out who is taking part this weekend to conclude the week! Can Latvia find another successful performer in 2016? We may find out finally this Sunday!

It’s a quieter week this week, but don’t worry, because heading into February will get very busy!
