The United Kingdom’s entrant for Eurovision 2014, Molly, has announced she is set to play two music festivals this summer, where she is expected to perform songs from her upcoming debut album as well as her Eurovision entry, “Children of the Universe”.
Molly’s first destination this summer fulfils her lifelong dream as she headlines the BBC Introducing Stage at Glastonbury on Friday 27th June. Renowned as one of the biggest festivals in Europe, she will be performing alongside other successful BBC Introducing acts as an ambassador of the platform that selected her for Eurovision. Other artists set to perform on the BBC Introducing stage across the weekend include George Ezra, My Nu Leng and Glass Animals. Could we be seeing the UK’s 2015 artist here?
She will then be performing on Sunday 13th July at British Summer Time, alongside headline acts Tom Jones, Boyzone and Little Mix. The performance will fall on the last day of the two-weekend festival in the picturesque surroundings of Hyde Park in London, with acts including Arcade Fire, Black Sabbath and McBusted also set to perform as part of the festival’s varied line-up.
Molly’s debut album is expected to arrive sometime later in 2014 and will include her Eurovision entry “Children of the Universe”. She represented the United Kingdom at the 2014 contest in Copenhagen, finishing in 17th place with 40 points.
