Tonight in Kyiv, the second semifinal of the Ukranian national selection has concluded. Eight acts took the stage to compete for the three remaining slots in next week’s final. Amongst the hopefuls were Ukrainian star LAUD, who placed 4th in last year’s Vidbir final. Joining him was the Ukrainian band KAZKA, who had the first song in Ukrainian to make the Shazam Top 10 World Chart.
The running order for the night was as follows:
- Ivan Navi
- Anna Maria
- KAZKA
- Kira Mazur
- LAUD
- Khayat
- Braii
- Freedom Jazz
Voting for Vidbir is a 50/50 split between the juries and the televote. The juries and the public both assign an act to receive their top score of 8 points, and will assign the remaining acts a point value from 7 down to 1. Both the juries and the public gave their top point total to Freedom Jazz and their song “Cudipon.”
At the end of the night, Freedom Jazz, KAZKA, and Anna Maria were announced as the qualifiers for the final, and will be joining Yuko, Maruv, and Brunettes Shoot Blondes in the final show on February 23rd. The full point totals from tonight are posted below.
- Freedom Jazz: 16 points
